Main purpose
Responsible for monitoring and recording environmental conditions, mine production and machine delays ensuring effective, safe control of production of an underground mine, whilst ensuring appropriate response protocols are invoked in case of alarm thresholds being exceeded or in case of emergency and that relevant stakeholders are informed of incidents /accidents within the operation timeously.

Education
- Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering (NQF Level 7)
- OR UG Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency - Compulsory
- Note: Only one of the above qualifications is required.
