Main purpose

Oversee engineering operations within Thungela's underground (UG) mining sites, ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment and systems. Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, ensuring minimal disruption to underground mining operations. Implement engineering initiatives to enhance underground operations, ensuring compliance with Thungela's safety standards. Lead and support the underground engineering team, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. (NQF Level 7).
OR GCC - Mine and Works with 6 years of experience in the mining industry.
